Investiture Ceremony 2019-20

Mother’s Day Celebration

Pre-Primary (09-05-2019)

 

Mothers hold their children’s hand for a while, but their hearts forever.

 

The Pre Primary celebrated Mother’s Day on May 9th 2019 in honour of all the mothers who shower selfless devotion on their children without any expectation. The programme commenced with the welcome address to the gathering. Students exhibited their gratitude, love and regard for their mothers through a welcome song. The school Principal Mrs. Manju Duggal delivered an inspirational speech on the occasion and spoke about mother’s contribution in exhibiting her unconditional and sacrificial love and thus honouring their being in this world as a precious gift. The tiny tots presented an action song to express their love for their moms. To make the day special and unique, few competitions were also organized for mothers and their children. The little angels had a splendid time in participating in ‘Mom and me flameless cooking’ & ‘Rangoli competition’ with their moms. It was a pleasure watching the super excited moms with their dynamic and energetic children preparing something special for the day. Some of the mothers of tiny tots were invited on the stage for fun filled activities which also included singing and dancing sessions. The school activity head Mrs. Nancy Raina judged the competitions and awarded the winner mothers. She congratulated all the mothers for making it an auspicious day and concluded the programme with vote of thanks.

Orientation Programme

Pre Primary 27.03.19

 

School orientation programme is a fantastic opportunity for parents to know what to expect in coming year and also equip them for it. Keeping this in view, an orientation programme was conducted for the Pre Primary parents in the school premises on March 27th 2019.

On arrival, the parents and their children were given a floral welcome.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome note by the Pre Primary activity head Mrs. Sonia Dogra, who addressed the session with a goal to ensure a positive atmosphere for learning as well as building up the healthy relationship between the parents and the teachers. She introduced the Pre-Primary head Mrs. Anjali Kachroo and the school counselor Ms. Archana Chaudhary to the gathering. Followed by this, the school Principal Mrs. Manju Duggal enlightened the gathering by giving a brief description about the school which included the history and the motto. She also shared information about the school system, curriculum and co- curricular activities.

The parents were further directed to the respective classrooms for class orientation where the respective class teachers gave detailed information about the learning parameters and stressed upon the innovative teaching and learning methodologies followed in the school. After the interactive session, the teachers escorted the parents for a short tour of the school.

A photo corner was set up for the tiny tots to get their photo clicked on their first day to school. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by the Pre Primary activity head.

Scouts and Guide Camp 2018-2019

 

”Scouts & Guides club helps students inculcate leadership traits, develop team building thrill for adventure & compassion towards their fellow brethren”.

 

VBPS Dwarka organized a scout & guide camp for 3 days i.e. from 11th Mar 2019 to 13th Mar 2019 in the school premises. A team of 80 students attended the camp .The inaugural ceremony began at 9:00 am, the school Principal Mrs. Manju Duggal addressed the scouts & guides & stressed in her address that the scouts & guides should always be ready to help others & think to go beyond. With their blue sashes that goes from left to right on the uniform & the scarf that keeps their head high among all, the scouts & guides performed a synchronized march past .The scout masters apprised the students about initial level first aid to be given in emergency situations. The useful information pertaining to the first aid, types of bandages, stretchers & remedies for insect bites

were also apprised the students on how

to combate the disasters demonstrated

making tents using available & limited

resources like bedsheets, logs, sticks &

others. The third day witnessed the

thoroughly enjoyable campfire programme.

At last, the scouts &guides had an open

conversation with the masters & got their

doubts clarified with regards to their further

progression in the programme.

Annual House Assembly – 2018-19
The Annual House Meet – ‘Cultural Bonanza’ was organised on 08 Feb 2019 in the school premises. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp ceremony by the Officiating Principal – Mrs Manju Duggal and the House Masters of all the houses. A melodious and soulful bhajan was sung by the students of Class VI, VII & VIII. This was followed by the presentation of the theme based assemblies by all the houses. The theme for the annual house assembly was – “The Elements of Nature”. All the four houses left no stone unturned in presenting the theme in different innovative ways. Through the elements of dance, music, street play, poetry and speeches, the assembly portrayed the spirit of India aptly. The four houses – VISHWA, SATYAM, SHIVAM and SUNDARAM sang their respective house songs which were lauded by all. It was a truly spectacular display of talents of all the participants from all the four houses. The House Captains of all the houses delivered their House reports glorifying the achievements. The Annual House assembly culminated with the result declaration – much to the excitement of everyone present there. There were four trophies in all. The Best House (Sports) was bagged by Vishwa House. The Best House (Literary) was bagged and shared by Sundaram & Satyam House. The best house (Cultural) was grabbed by Shivam House. The most coveted trophy of the “BEST HOUSE – OVERALL was clinched by SHIVAM House. The students and the House Incharge of the winning houses were highly elated. Their joy knew no leaps and bounds. The programme culminated with the National Anthem.

Farewell 2018-19

It was a nostalgic moment for the outgoing students of 12th Class when VBPS, Dwarka organised a grand farewell on 29th Jan 2019 to bid adieu to senior most batch along with the blessings and best wishes from the management members, Principal and teachers.

 

Class XII students reminisced their fun filled days where they have bloomed from buds to flowers and have been enabled to ornate the garden of life. The function commenced with the warm welcome of students of class XII. The celebrations commenced with the speech of Harsh Priye and  Aastha Sharma – Head Boy and Head Girl respectively who extended their heartfelt gratitude to the mentors for their guidance and support throughout their school life.

 

A colourful and entertaining cultural programme followed which enthralled the seniors. To add to everyone’s delight, a colourful dance extravaganza was presented by the students of class XI who performed on peppy numbers. While dances earned a thundering applause, it was the fashion show by class XI which stole the show with their perfectly coordinated ramp walk.

 

A school farewell party is the most memorable day of a student’s life . “Things end but memories last forever” -keeping this objective in mind, a healthy and fun filled competition was organised to select Mr.  & Ms. VBPS, Dwarka. The above spoken competition comprised various rounds that tested knowledge presence of mind, guts to face negative situation in life etc., after all school was selecting its representative for the world outside. Finally, Aastha Sharma of XII-B and Prateek Kumar of XII-A were selected as Ms. And Mr. VBPS, Dwarka respectively.

 

After the cultural programme, everyone assembled for the sumptuous lunch. The lunch was followed by class XII and XI students dancing their heart’s content to the foot tapping music played. Many were seen clicking pictures with friends and teachers trying to capture the school memories forever.

 

Thus an enchanting evening culminated and with it both happiness and nostalgia crept into each one in the campus.

Republic Day Celebration – 26th January 2019

 

The 70th Republic Day was celebrated at VBPS, Dwarka with a great deal of patriotic zeal. The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour by Shri. Sudhir Shah, Hon’ble Management member . The cultural programme began with a musical rendition by class VIII students with the theme of saluting our motherland. A dance performance presented by the students of classes VII & VIII showcased the ethos and spirit of the Indian soldier. It portrayed the enthusiasm of the Indian solider who is always ready to lay his life in heat and cold, in pleasure and pain, for the dignity of our nation. Aditya Kumar, Head boy, delivered a speech which was a solemn reminder of the great martyrs and their contribution to the country which infused feeling of dedication and loyalty in the young hearts.

 

A group of students also showcased the diverse culture of India by performing dances from the States of Goa, Punjab, Kerala, Gujarat etc and mesmerised the students. The school reverberated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. Sweets were distributed among the students.

Dussehra Celebration (16-10-18)

Pre Primary

                                                                   

To mark the victory of Lord Rama over evil king, Ravana and reinforce the message of the triumph of good over evil, the Pre Primary wing celebrated Dussehra with lot of religious zeal on October 16th 2018. A student spoke about the significance of the festival. Few episodes of the story of Ramayana were dramatized through a musical presentation by the tiny tots. The little children came dressed up as different characters of Ramlila and enthralled the entire audience through their performance.  The officiating Principal Mrs. Manju Duggal appreciated everyone for presenting a wonderful programme and briefly explained the values of honesty, respect and obedience which are the core of the epic, Ramayana.

Janmashtami celebration

Pre Primary 31-08-2018

 

Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great zeal by the students of Pre – Primary on August 31st 2018. The tiny tots gave a traditional touch to the entire celebration as they came dressed in beautiful and vibrant attire of Lord Krishna and Radha. The Children carried out a procession in the school. The officiating Principal Mrs. Manju Duggal also blessed the students as they danced to the tunes of devotional songs which filled the air with joy and festive spirit.

On 15th August 2018, VBPS, Dwarka celebrated 76th Independence Day with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. The Chief Guests for day was Dr. Rita Mishra – Cultural Convenor, Zone 21. Lt. Col. Nidhi Kalra, Lt. Col. Sunita Singh and Dr. R.K. Shivpuri - one of our Hon’ble Management members, also graced the occasion with his benign presence. The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the Indian tricolour in the school field by the Chief Guest. All in unison sang the National Anthem to pay homage to the nation. Thereafter the cultural programme began with the lighting of the lamp. The school choir enthralled the audience with the patriotic songs they sang. Aditya Sharma, the Head Boy delivered a speech on the significance of the red letter day. Various patriotic dances presented by the students awakened everyone’s feelings towards Motherland. The participants spellbound the audience with their performance and also enjoyed them with patriotic enthusiasm. Past the cultural programme, sweets were distributed to the students.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

 

The ‘Investiture Ceremony’ of Vishwa Bharati Public School, Dwarka for the academic session 2018-19 was held on 9th May, 2018 in the school premises.

The event started with the welcome of Chief Guest, Ms. Roshni Gulati, SPE Excellence Branch HQ along with our honorable Secretary, Mr. Sudhir Shah and our officiating Principal, Ms. Manju Duggal.

The ceremony started with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief guest and dignitaries. It was followed by a welcome address by the officiating principal Mrs. Manju Duggal who wished the members of the Apex Body and reminded them that they are the torch bearers of all values that the school stands for.

 Further more, Raag Desh and Bhajan were presented by the students of different classes.

 The limelight of the programme was the march past displayed by the newly appointed cabinet members. The senior apex body (2018-19) is headed by Aditya Kumar of XI and Ananya Pandita of XI A. The junior apex body is headed by Jayesh Kansal and Zinnia Chakravorty of class V respectively.

Master Aditya Kumar, the head boy administered the oath.

The Chief Guest, Mrs. Roshni Gulati, officiating Principal, Mrs. Manju Duggal, Activity Coordinator Nancy Raina and the House Masters awarded sashes and badges to the newly elected prefects.

The Chief Guest in her address gave a motivational speech commenting on the privilege of the cabinet members and their first exposure to leadership.

Mr. Sudhir Shah, Secretary, Vishwa Bharati Public School addressed the gathering. He congratulated the newly appointed school cabinet members and advised them to take up their duties sincerely and with full commitment. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prachi Rawat. The ceremony culminated with the National Anthem.

Orientation Day 2018-19 Pre-Primary

Vishwa Bharati Public School, Dwarka organized an orientation programme in the school premises for pre-primary classes on March 28th, 2018 with the motive to apprise the parents about the ethics and ideals of the school. The parents and their children were given a warm floral welcome.

 The Pre Primary activity head, Mrs. Sonia Dogra addressed the session by giving a short description about the school’s history and its vision of being progressive and child- centric. It was followed by the enthralling speech by the officiating Principal, Mrs. Manju Duggal in which she laid stress on the holistic development of the child as the main aim and objective of the school. In her speech, she unfolded the school curriculum, rules and regulations, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.

  The Pre Primary teachers also showcased a lesson plan on teaching the English alphabets. Class orientation was conducted in the classrooms by the respective class teachers. Guidelines for classroom practices were explained to the parents for a positive start. To make each child feel special and make it a memorable event, a photo corner was set up and photographs of the tiny tots were taken on their first day to the school.

After an interactive session, teachers escorted the parents for a short tour of the school.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the Pre Primary activity head.

Basant Panchami Celebrations

 

Basant Panchami was celebrated in VBPS, Dwarka on 21st January 2018. The Officiating Principal Mrs Manju Duggal lighted the lamp and paid offering to Maata Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge which created a divine atmosphere. Prasad was distributed to everyone after the Pooja

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET (2017-18)

The Annual Sports Day of VBPS, Dwarka was celebrated on 20th January 2018 amidst great mirth, jubilation and camaraderie in the school premises. The objective behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children. The day was fun-filled fest of laughter, energy, delight and competitive spirit as around 1200 students presented and participated in various activities. Shri Satpal Singh (Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri, Arjun and Dronacharya Awardee, Gold Medallist- Asian Games, Silver Medallist- CWG) was the Chief Guest. Mr. Narender Singh (Asian & Olympics Games Gold Medallist), Mr. Ajay Kumar (Gold Medallist, Handball-CWG) and Ms Dalima Chibber (National Football Team) were the guests of Honour. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were- Shri RK Hak (Member of Management); Shri Sudhir Shah (Secretary, VBPS, Dwarka); Shri Virender Saighal (RAC Member) Shri JN Kaul (Vice-President) and  Shri RL Tickoo (Member of Management).

 

The event began and the Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour were welcomed with saplings. A spectacular, impressive and a well synchronised March Past by the four Houses contingents – Vishwa, Satyma, Shivam and Sundaram, rendered the spectators speechless and awestruck. Behind them trailed ‘The Musical High Landers Band’ from ‘7 Garhwal Rifles’ – 175 year old battalion. The band beautifully played ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ and a famous Garhwali song. Both the March-past and band were performed smartly and in perfect coordination. The Officiating Principal, Mrs Manju Duggal welcomed the guests and gathering formally and read a brief report of school’s achievements in the year 2017-18.

 

It was followed by lighting of the torch which ignited the passion of sporting spirit. The meet was declared open by the Chief Guest with the release of pigeon and balloons. The well synchronized school Orchestra laid the ground for other lovely performances. The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event was the field displays, involving mass student participations, which splattered on the field, a riot of hues and vibrance. The display included, Dramatization Sports, Taekwondo bouts, Aerobics moves and Fusion dances.

 

The Chief Guest, Shri Satpal Singh in his address was superlative in his praise for the various programmes performed by the students. He shared interesting anecdotes from his own life and opined that Sports and Games are very important part of education as it makes students disciplined. He urged students to participate in various sports with sincerity.

This was followed by the track events including some fun races like bursting the balloon race, vegetable race for the pre-primary wing. The events for the primary wing were Hurdle race, 50 mts Dash, Lemon & Spoon race and sack race. The boys and girls of the middle and senior wing participated in hurdle race, 50 mts dash, long jump, 4 x 100 m relay race, shot put and 100 mts sprint race. There was pulsating excitement among the students and the campus echoed with loud cheers. The proud winners were awarded with medals and certificates by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. The winners were overjoyed and the ones who could not bag the prizes were seen congratulating the winners. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs Nancy Raina, Activity Coordinator. The event saw its culmination with the National Anthem.
