Picnic – Eco Adventure Camp

Pre-Primary (15-02-19)

 

  

To provide a safe and an adventurous experience that balances challenging adventure and exploration with fun, a picnic was organised for Pre-Primary on February 15th 2019 at Eco Adventure Camp, Najafgarh, New Delhi. On reaching the camp site, the students were divided into various groups and were escorted by their team leaders. After sumptuous breakfast, the children were taken for various adventurous and thrilling activities like spider web, tyre climbing, rock climbing, Burma Bridge, bouncy, trampoline and various camp games. The tiny tots also enjoyed rides on camel, bullock and tractor. They had a blast when they showcased their dancing talent on foot tapping numbers. Delicious lunch was served after the dance session.

 The children thoroughly enjoyed their day as it was a fruitful experience for them since learning was incorporated with fun and entertainment.

Visit to Apno Ghar, Gurugram

 

‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’. One of the most treasured memories of school life are visits and excursions. To ensure that students add more to these memories, VBPS, Dwarka organised a visit of Apno Ghar, Gurugram for the students of classes LKG to II on 27th Dec 2017. The enthusiastic tiny tots were excited and geared up for their fun trip. The students enjoyed the thrilling rides, along with dancing on the foot tapping music on the whole. It was a day full of fun and frolic under the supportive guidance of their teachers and refreshing snacks / lunch to munch on.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Visit to Kingdom of Dreams

 

Trips and tours are an integral part of the school co-curricular activity calendar. VBPS, Dwarka organised an edutainment trip to Kingdom of Dream, Gurugram on 28th Dec 2017 and 29th Dec 2017 for the students of classes III to VII and VIII to XII respectively along with their teachers. Students were taken to the ‘SHOWSHAA’ to enjoy JHUMROO – a live musical comedy show. This musical comedy packed with 19 retro Bollywood songs is a celebration of the spirit of Kishore Kumar. This was a complete entertaining stage spectacle, which surely left all funny bones tickling.

 

The ‘Culture Gully’ which was the prime destination was’ indoor street of India’ under a fabulous sky dome. The first step into the gully left everyone speechless. It was a kaleidoscope of India’s cultural diversity. There were 14 State pavilions representing the food, art, craft and customs of that particular state. The themed restaurant brought out the essence of an era gone-by. The students as well as the teachers enjoyed the various Indian cuisines.

 

The live performance of the traditional folk dances of various Sates was a visual treat. It was truly a spectacular world of unparalleled imagination.

The result of the same was declared on 30th Dec 2017.

Education Excursion to Agra

(From September 30th to October 1st 2017)

Classes: V to VIII

The school arranged an educational trip to Agra for the Primary and Middle section students of class V to VIII who were also accompanied by their teachers. They enjoyed an extensive tour to Agra city with a visit to the world famous Taj Mahal, the finest example of Mughal Architecture that combines elements from Persian, Turkish and Indian architectural styles. Visit to Agra fort and Fatehpur Sikri, added a great deal to the students knowledge of historical background and acquainted them better with the rich heritage of India.  The visit to the Agra Fort was truly rewarding. Students had loads of fun and enjoyed every bit of their tour.

Day 1: 30th September: Amidst smiles, excitement and chatter we left school early in the morning at 6:00 a.m. The children were enthusiastic and happy to be with their friends. Some of them were even more zealous as it was their first school trip ever! Our bus journey was through Yamuna expressway. The bus journey to Agra was full of enjoyment and fun as the children sang songs, played games and munched along the way. On the mid-way of the journey at around 10:00 a.m. the students were given snacks. We reached our hotel at 12:30 p.m. where we received warm welcome at the luxurious The GRANDHotel.There after Rooms were allotted and everyone settled into their respective rooms. This was followed by a sumptuous lunch. After lunch at 2:00 p.m. came the much awaited visit to magical allure of the Taj Mahal and massive Agra Fort where they learnt about the mughal rulers- Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb. The students were amazed to know about the three wives of Akbar and were spellbound to see the architecture of the forts. The students listened to the guides in rapt attention, understanding the structure and design of Mughal architecture. They were intrigued and impressed with the stories and had many relevant questions to ask. After visiting the great monuments, the students relaxed in the hotel for some time. The first day ended with a hearty dinner at the hotel which was followed by DJ party organized by the hotel.

Day 2: 1st October: After a delicious breakfast , the enthusiastic explorers set off for a visit to Fatehpur Sikri. His. We saw the world famous Buland Darwazather- its height is 176 feet. Second thing we saw in the city of Fatehpur Sikri was Tomb of Salim Chisti: At the tomb (Dargah) of renowed Sufi saint SalimChisti students offered prayers and were asked to make any wish by tying a thread which was a new experience for them. The tomb is well known for its delicate cravings and draws hundreds of pilgrims. Thirdly we saw Diwan-i-Khas- Hall: popularly known as the “Ekstambha Prasada”. The Diwan-i-Khas served as the royal chamber of Emperor Akbar and lastly we saw Panch Mahal, which  is a five story building. It was meant to be the shelter of the royal ladies and mistresses.

Our journey of Fatehpur Sikri ended around 2:00 p.m. even as our trip also ended but our energy never ended, so bus trip started towards back in Delhi. WE stopped at resort named “LAKE VIEW PALACE” where delicious lunch was arranged. After lunch we had non-stop journey towards Delhi to our school.

Students along with the teachers reached school at 10:00 p.m. with lots of stories share with their parents.

The students were so excited throughout the trip that they didn’t allow the heat to spoil the trip.

The students enjoyed the short and sweet trip thoroughly and got to know a lot about one of the biggest empires of the country.

TRIP TO SHIMLA AND KUFRI

Classes : IX -XII

The school organized a two days and four nights trip to Shimla and Kufri for students of classes IXth and XIIth from 3rd to 6th October, 2017. The preparation of the trip started days before the D day.All teachers incharges were given the list of twelve students to take care of. They created whatsapp group of parents of their students list to keep them updated of various proceedings from the commencement to the end of the trip. Parents were happy to know about this as they were always connected to the concerned teacher of their wards.

On 3rd October at around 10:30 pm the students assembled in school premises. After grouping them according to their groups allotted they were made sit in the buses along with tgheir teacher incharges and the journey to Shimla began. Everyone’s exitment was on its peak. On the way to Shimla, the buses stopped at two dhabas for convenience of students at teachers. The buses reached Kalka at around 8:00 am in the morning where we had breakfast in the hotel Classic view and started for Shimla at around 10:00 am and reached the serene city at 1:00 pm. Girls were made to stay in hotel De Park and boys in the hotel Quality in Himdev. Both the hotels were very cosy and up to the mark. Students and teachers checked in hotels and rested there and got ready till 2:00 pm after  having lunch in the hotel started for local venture around  the city and visited Indian Institute of Advace Study, SAnkat Mochan temple and Mall road. The groups retured to the hotel at around 11 pm and slept peacefully after having dinner.

Next morning everyone woke up extremely fresh and active in the clean and pollution free city. After having breakfast in the hotel the groups started for Kufri around 9:00 am and recheached there at 12:00 pm. The journey from Shimla to Kufri was extremely amusing and a bit scary too due to twisty and narrow roads. All were spellbound to see  the magical beauty of the place. Then the groups went o many sightseeing places and the zoo in kufri. They also went up to Hip Hip Hurrray amusement park where thty had lunch and many students aso did adventure activites. A very good time was spent there. Then the groups returned to Shimla at around 6:00 pm and rested for saome while.  At night a dance and music party was organized in the hotel which turned out to be extremely enjoyable. All the students danced and partied ard. Students enjoyed a lot with their friends and gossiped till late night in the night in Shimla. After  this they went to sleep and woke up in the next morning and after having breakfast, they clecked out of the hotel at 9:00 am and started their journey to Pijore garden. There they clicked many photographs and wondered around beautiful garden. Later they had lunch  in the hotel and from their they left for Delhi. On the way back, they had lots of fun as they danced , sang and played many sorts of games in the bus. They didn’t even realize how fast the journety was over as they were thourghlty enjoying it and were busy making memories for the life time. At around 10:30 pm. Parenst had already gathered outside the school to collect their wards. Students and teachers returned to their homes and slept peacvefully after the amazing but tiring trip.

All in all it was a very jubiliant, fun filled, exciting and memorable trip. It was indeed something that they remember forever and the memories will be cherished by them for a long time.
