S.N. GANJU MEMORIAL INTER-SCHOOL ENGLISH DEBATE AND EXCELLENCE AWARD CEREMONY, 2018
VBPS, Dwarka commemorated the memory of Sh. S.N. Ganju, who created a legacy of imparting quality education in Vishwa Bharati Educational institutions by organizing the S.N. Ganju Memorial inter-school English Debate and Excellence Award Ceremony, 2018 on 2nd November in the school premises.
The Solemn and Momentous occasion was graced by the benign presence of Mrs. Queeny Pradhan (Prof. Guru Gobind Singh University) as Chief Guest, esteemed members of management Sh. R.K. Haaq, Shri. Virender Sehgal and Dr. V.K. Ganju (General Secretary). It was also attended by a panel of judges Ms. Anavisha Banarjee (Prof. Bharati College, Delhi University) and Ms. Komila Sharma (PGT).
Escort teachers with their participating team and proud parents of Aastha Sharma (winner of S.N. GANJU EXCELLENCE AWARD) were among the other guests.
The programme commenced with the formal welcome followed by the traditional lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. This was followed by devotional bhakti moment- Krishan Bhajan followed by Ganesh Vandana.
School principal Mrs. Manju Duggal welcomed the guest, briefed everyone of the day’s proceedings and wished the debators good luck.
The prestigious and much coveted award was awarded to Miss Aastha Sharma who excelled because of her excellent performance in Scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas. Chief Guest, Management members took pride in doing the honour of presenting the much coveted award to her. Miss Aastha Sharma in her speech thanked each and every one who touched her life so beautifully and helped her transform into a complete being.
After the award ceremony, began the interesting debate on the topic—Will Artificial Intelligence take away jobs?. Fourteen teams from Dwarka and NCR had participated enthusiastically. The results in different categories were as follows:
Best speaker for the motion— Vidushi Sinha, N.K.Bagrodia
Best speaker against the motion— Palak Yadav, Indraprastha International School
Best Interjector— Siddharth Mohan Roy, Indraprastha International School
The Rolling trophy was bagged by Indraprastha International School
Event culminated with the presentation of vote of thanks by Mrs. Madhuri Mishra (HOD English).
Inter School Fest – TARANA 2018-19
VBPS, Dwarka organized the majestic Extravaganza TARANA, the annual inter school fest in the school premises on 28th August 2018. The event is hosted annually with the motive of providing the students a platform to inculcate awareness and competitive spirit and explore their hidden talents. This mega event witnessed the participation of around 600 students from 16 schools of the vicinity.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Sanjay Vedi, Senior Programme Director at Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Ms Nalini Ji and Ms Kamlini Ji, Internationally renowned Kathak Duo were the Guests of Honour. Shri VK Ganju, General Secretary, Vishwa Bharati Women’s Welfare Association and Shri Haq, Esteemed Senior Management Member also graced the occasion with their benign presence.

The event commenced with the welcome of all the dignitaries followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Principal, Mrs Manju Duggal also welcomed the guests formally and expressed her gratitude towards their presence. Ms Nalini Ji in her address appreciated the concept of organizing such competitions in school. She also emphasized on the significance of dance and music. Ms Nalini Ji further shared some anecdotes from her childhood which motivated the participants to perform with vigour & enthusiasm. Shri V. K. Ganju, Secretary, VBPS, in his speech highlighted the significance of such events and encouraged and appreciated the young competitors.
After the welcome address, a beautiful welcome dance was performed by the girls of classes VI to VIII followed by melodious and soulful mangal geet and Bengali folk song. After this, the participants were asked to report to their respective venues. It was a great sight to match the participants engrossed in performing their best in various activities at different venues. Various competitions aptly portrayed the competitive spirit and team work of the participants. All the events culminated on a positive and happy note.
In the end, the results were announced and the trophies were given. Participation certificates were given to all the participants. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Nancy Raina Activity Coordinator.
Tarana- Inter-School Fest -2017 (25-August, 2017)
The Majestic Extravaganza Tarana Inter School Fest was organized in the School premises VBPS – Dwarka on August 25th, 2017 i.e. Friday on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. It was an amalgamation of various literary and artistic expressions.
The fest was organized with the sole objective of providing a common platform to the young budding talent of the vicinity to showcase their creativity to an array of grade wise events.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was the eminent theatre director designer and visualizer recognized for developing a new idiom and performance vocabulary. The event was also graced by the Secretary of VBPS – Dwarka Mr. Sudhir Shah and Mr. Virender Saigal (RAC Memer).
A panel of distinguished judges was invited to judge various events which were as follows:

1. Ms. Manjula Sareen – M.A. B.Ed. having 13 years of experience in education field.
2. Mr. Rahul Kumar – Started Dance Academy in West Delhi has been judging many dance competitions.
3. Dr. C.S. Lalitha – Professor, Dept. of Mathematics in South Campus.
4. Mr. Ashok Kumar – Working as a Free Lancer and professional artist.
5. Mr. Yuvraj Singh – Computer Science Engineer.
6. Mr. Abhay Kumar Roy – AIR’s graded artist, gives solo and group performance at major music conferences and festivals.
7. Mr. Mahesh Prabhakar – 40 years of experience in music and Mumbai film industry. Worked amongst panel of judges for Jr. and Sr. Indian Idol. Working with T-Series.
8. Mr. Kanchan Rakshit – Prabhakar in Kathak, Central School Teacher.
9. Ms. Urvashi Gupta – TGT Computer Science in Presidium School, Ashok Vihar.
10. Ms. Ranjana Srivastav – M.A. B.Ed., having 27 years of experience in reputed school.
Almost 16 schools from the vicinity and NCR participated and there were almost 600 participants in all the events.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Hon’ble Chief Guest, revered members of the management, learned judges and officiating Principal Mrs. Manju Duggal. Mrs. Manju Duggal welcomed the guests and expressed her gratitude towards their presence. The participants from various schools were then apprised of the details of the events and were asked to report to the respective venues. Two major events i.e. Folk Songs and dance competition were held at the front stage. The participants were brimming with zeal and enthusiasm. Various competitions aptly portrayed the competitive spirit and team work of all the participants.
In the end results were announced and the trophies were given to the winners. Participation certificate were given to all the participants. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Activity Coordinator, Mrs Nancy Raina.

S. N. Ganju Memorial - Inter School English Debate & Excellence Award.
Vishwa Bharati Public School , Dwarka organized S N Ganju Memorial Inter School English Debate Competition and Excellence Award Ceremony -2016 on 24th November 2016 in the school premises.
The event was embellished by the esteemed presence of honorable members , Dr V K Ganju , General Secretary of VBPS Institution, Mr Sudhir Shah, Honorable Advisor of VBPS Institution. They were also accompanied by the esteemed judges, Ms Ritu Malhotra , commissioning editor and Mr Shramana Purkayastha, Assistant Editor in school ELT division . The event was also witnessed by the proud parents of Shivam Shukla.
The event started with lighting of lamp by the guests and dignitaries. A soulful performance on Ganesh Vandana was presented to invoke the blessings of God. It was followed by a welcome address by the Principal, Dr B.K Mishra who also declared the debate open. Almost 10 schools participated in the debate competition. The debating round was further followed by the interjection round. All the participants gave in their blood and sweat. A small filler was added by the VBPS band invoking cheer and refreshment among the audience after a long debating session. Further more , Raag Todi and Bhajan were also presented by the Music Department. It was followed by the Prestigious “S N Ganju Award for Excellence” ceremony in which Shivam Shukla of class XII – B was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 7500 along with a gold medal and a citation by the honorable management members. The proud parents of Shivam Shukla extended their vote of thanks to the school. Further , The General Secretary,V.B.W.W.I. Dr V.K . Ganju and Honourable Advisor Mr Sudhir Shah inspired the students with their motivational speech. The most exciting moment for the participants arrived when the judges announced the results. The best speaker for the motion was bagged by Abivyakti Mishra of VBPS Noida and best speaker against the motion was won by Snigdha Basu of VBPS Noida whereas the best interjector was won by Lakshay Kaushik of Maxfort School, Dwarka. In the end , Vice – Principal Mrs Sadhvi Verma extended a vote of thanks on behalf of VBPS fraternity.
